    Maybe you licked your fingers before handing over the money, or you had dirty hands from eating a sample, or you wiped your nose with your hand..and they noticed. People in customer service observe things that the everyday person doesn't see. I really can't see any one of those individuals being discourteous as I have always been treated respectfully but then again I do tend to wash my hands and present myself respectfully as well. Take a look at yourself before you throw stones and don't forget to say hello and thank you....it goes a long way to be polite as well.
